Business Strategy Challenge a Success
Last Saturday, Hilltop Consultants in conjuction with the McDonough School of Business held the second Business Strategy Challenge at Georgetown University. We would like to thank everyone that participated and helped.
The commited work of the planning team and participants allowed the event to become a big success. Congratulations to the Goldrush team from Georgetown University, this years winner of the BSC.

Spring Semester Project Updates
More than halfway through the semester Hilltop Consultants would like to keep you posted on our current project teams. Read the following small blurbs about what our teams and what they are trying to do for their clients:
YABT
YABT is an organization that works along with the OAS to provide business opportunities to high school and college students in the Americas. The opportunities include workshops on different industries, business skill training, and networking. YABT hopes to establish a franchising system to expand its presence in different countries. Hilltop Consultants was asked to deal with multiple aspects of the franchising system: the finances, the organizational structure, and an evaluation of the current programs. We hope to present to the client at the end of the semester with all these deliverables, plus an informational packet to give to potential franchise owners.
RANSAC
Hilltop Consultants project with RANSAC is both unique and challenging. Our team has a definitive role in the transformation phase of the non-profit. Hilltop Consultants leads discussion with RANSAC concerning a shift of focus from specific Cold War issues to global Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR). Our team aims to aid RANSAC transform in the short term and implement structural changes to ensure growth in the future. The project will last the whole semester and follow a detailed road map devised by both parties. The project with culminate in a final presentation of deliverables and client reception.

Socially Responsible Consulting
Tom Raffa, a Georgetown alumnus, founded Raffa Consulting in 1984 as a provider of a wide range of consulting, accounting, tax, technology, outsourcing, and business advisory services to nonprofits in the Washington Area. Since then, his firm has grown to serve over 300 clients.

Hilltop Consultants is sponsoring and hosting MERCER HR Consulting on Monday, February 27th at 6:30 PM Old North 205. Mercer is currently recruiting for two full time positions and two interns in our Human Capital practice (with a focus in broad-based rewards, executive compensation and HR Transformation). Mercer Human Resource Consulting has more than 15,700 employees serving clients from more than 190 cities and 41 countries and territories worldwide.
Come and meet Bill Wuyek (MSB 2004) and Kristy Kelsick (MSB 2005), two of the recent Georgetown Alums now working at Mercer.
They will be talking about Mercer, the type of work they do, what they are looking for in candidates, and relate their work to the nonprofit realm.

Upcoming Board Member Elections Meeting Tuesday 3/14/06
The Business Strategy Challenge will be held for the second time at Georgetown University, from March 23-25.
This year for the first time it will be a national case competition and will allow you to prove that you've got what it takes to solve real strategic problems better than other teams from around the nation.
We are now looking for applicants and teams of four people to participate. For more details and the applications check our homepage: challenge.msb.edu.

Fall Semester
