Client Spotlight: Teach for America
Teach for America (TFA) is a national non-profit organization that aims to end educational inequality in America. To achieve this goal, TFA recruits promising college graduates from a wide range of backgrounds and disciples and matches them up with urban and rural public schools. Those who are chosen commit to a two year program, whereby they teach and assist wherever they’re needed most.
Recently, Teach for America has been trying to increase the number of applicants who come from diverse backgrounds. Hilltop Consultants was asked to provide insight into undergraduate students and their motivations and influences related to what they choose to do post-graduation. Hilltop Consultants conducted a campus-wide survey of students and interviewed Georgetown and TFA alumni and faculty members in order to provide specific recommendations to help TFA target and attract more students from diverse backgrounds.
